Submit Inquiry
We begin with an adoption application so we can learn more about you, your home, and what you are looking for in a kitten. This helps us to ensure the best possible match for both our kittens and their future families.
Please note that submitting an application does not guarantee approval or immediate availability.
Adoption & Reservation
Bringing home a kitten is a special commitment, and we want every placement to be thoughtful, safe, and lifelong. At Coosa Valley Ragdolls, our goal is to match each kitten with a loving, prepared family where they will be cherished for years to come.

Application
Review
Once your application is received, we carefully review it and may reach out with additional questions. We value open communication and are happy to answer questions about our kittens, temperament, care, and what to expect from the Ragdoll breed.
3
Reservation & Deposit
Approved families may reserve a kitten with a $500 non-refundable deposit. Deposits are applied toward the final purchase price of the kitten.
Because we are a small, closed cattery focused on the health, safety, and well-being of our cats and kittens, we do not allow in-person visits. However, we are happy to connect with approved families through video calls, photos, and regular updates so that you can watch your kitten grow and feel connected through the process.

Going Home
Day
Kittens typically leave for their new homes around 12-14 weeks of age. This additional time with their mother and littermates supports healthy social and emotional development.
Final payment must be completed prior to or at pickup unless otherwise arranged.
Our Commitment
We are deeply committed to the lifelong wellbeing of every kitten we raise. If at any point in the kitten's life you are unable to keep them, we ask that you contact us first so we can help ensure they are safely rehomed.
Thank you for considering one of our kittens to become part of your family. We are honored to be part of your journey.
Reservation & Deposit Policy
Deposit Amounts & Security
To secure your place in line for a Coosa Valley Ragdoll kitten, we require a $500 reservation deposit. This deposit ensures that your chosen kitten is held exclusively for your family and is deducted from the final adoption price.
Refund Policy
Deposits are non-refundable as they represent a commitment to the health and future of our kittens. However, if a suitable kitten is not available in the current litter, your deposit may be transferred to a future litter of your choice.
Waitlist Management
Our waiting list is managed on a first-come, first-served basis according to the date the deposit was received. We prioritize the health of our queens and frequency of litters to ensure every family receives a well-socialized, TICA-registered companion.
When can my kitten come home?
Kittens typically transition to their forever homes between 12 and 14 weeks of age. This extra time with their mother and littermates is extremely important for healthy social, emotional, and physical development. This also ensures that all kittens are fully weaned and have received age-appropriate vaccinations.
Do you offer a health guarantee?
Yes. All of our kittens go home with a written health guarantee and are examined by a licensed veterinarian before placement. Kittens receive age-appropriate vaccinations, routine deworming, and a wellness check before joining their new families. We carefully prioritize health, temperament, and responsible breeding practices, and our kittens are raised inside our home with attentive daily care and socialization.
Common Questions
What is included with my adoption?
Each kitten goes home with a carefully prepared starter package to help make the transition into their new home as smooth and comfortable as possible. Your kitten will include: age-appropriate vaccinations, routine deworming, veterinary wellness exam, health record documentation, written health guarantee, TICA registration paperwork with easy to follow step-by step instructions on how to register your kitten, sample of current food, blanket or comfort item with familiar scents, toys or starter goodies, litter training and socialization, and ongoing breeder support and guidance.
How does transport and pickup work?
We are located in Rome, GA, and offer both local pickup and transportation options depending on location and availability. Local families may arrange pickup at an agreed-upon public meeting location or designated pickup area. For families outside our area, ground transportation or a trusted flight nanny may be available at the buyer's expense, depending on distance and scheduling. Whenever possible, kittens travel safely in-cabin rather than in cargo.
